Great tweak for Kimber speaker cables

Published by audiophile on

Danny Ritchie from GR-Research presents a great tweak on Kimber speaker cables like the 8TC and 12TC. He didn’t present any measurements for his mods but what could support his claim on the sound quality improvement is the possible reduction in parasitic capacitance of the cable. The capacitance of the cable is really high and combined with very low inductance can result in higher distortion from you amplifier. This mod should also come with an increase in overall inductance, however, because these cables have really low inductance so it should have no audible impact. The 8TC is a great cable up to 2 meters in length. Use the 12TC for a 3 meter cable.
